Why can I no longer disable MFA in Class?
The ATO has introduced new data protection standards known as the Digital Service Provider (DSP) Operational Framework. This affects all systems that connect to the ATO digital services and/or software products that read, route or modify taxation or superannuation related information.
Class is subject to the Operational Framework Requirements and we have been rolling out the requirements, having most recently implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Class has made MFA mandatory for all users (except for members and investors) from 31 March 2019 as per the ATO requirement.
Will users of the Class Investor mobile app or Client View be affected by MFA?
No, as they don't have access to the main Class application they will not need to use MFA when logging on.
I've got a new phone, the authenticator code was on my old phone. How can I log in to Class?
If you change your mobile device and no longer have access to the configured authenticator app, please contact Class Support to reset your account and to allow you to re-enable Multi-Factor Authentication on the new device.
How to enable automatic time on my SmartPhone? I've downloaded the app but unable to receive the authentication code.
For iPhone: please go to Settings > General > Date & time > enable set automatically.
For Android: please go to Settings > System > Date & time > enable automated date & time.
I've entered the authentication code from my Android Phone and the code says invalid, how do I resolve this?
Google Authenticator in Android also has a time correction for the code option in the app settings. To correct the time through the google authenticator app, please follow the instructions:
1. Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app
2. Tap the menu icon and then click Settings
3. Tap Time correction for codes
4. Tap Sync now
